I bought this Silpain mat for baking crackers, cookies and bread because it is perforated and allows air through, unlike Silpat.
Compared to Silpat that I have it looks less refined, has uneven border size. This size fits in my standard baking tray perfectly but it is smaller than Silpat and when I tried to bake bagels I realized that I can't fit 12 bagels on it and I had to bake in two batches separately.
The size of Silpain is 35 x 30cm compared to Silpat's 40 x 30cm. This size (35 x 30cm) is better for using in my oven much easier to get in and out. I've tried to bake crackers and I like the result. The crackers baked well and were crispy. No need to dry them longer. Perforated Silpain is better for crackers and bread.
